Anya graduated from Macalester College in May 2020 with BAs in Physics and Geology. Her undergraduate research dealt with experimental particle physics and tectonics/zircon geochronology. They then spent two seasons working with the Southwest Conservation Corps in Colorado, doing everything from constructing trails through the talus fields atop the state’s 14ers to using a chainsaw to remove fallen and hazard trees from recreational spaces. They joined the group as an PhD student in August 2022, working with Professors Pujara, Wagner (AOS), and Zoet (Geoscience) to study wave-induced erosion of ice.
